I made these last night for a craft swap but I like how they turned out so much that I'm going to make a set for myself!

just what every girl wants..

I absolutely need these. They are stuffed microbes, and while I would love any of them these were a couple that really caught my eye. In order, we have The Clap, Chlamydia and Herpes. I can't possibly pick a favorite because I honestly would love to have them all. (the plush version, jerk!). You should go check out all the other ones ranging from Hepatitis to the HIV. warm & fuzzies

So, my living room is a mess, dishes need to be cleaned, carpets need to be vacuumed but goddammit my christmas tree is up! My $30-stayed up all night-lived through hell-froze my ass off-but $30 tree! I had been collecting various different ornaments through craft swaps and thrift stores and I really like how it all came together. Its pretty.

For some reason I have always really loved christmas trees. I love looking at them and they make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside (few things do that). I guess now that its up and decorated I should go start on those dishes.

Lil' Bit

If I could have a cat where I live, and if I were a good pet parent I would want Lil' Bit! The cat has two faces - amazing! According to dlisted His owner said, "The amazing thing to watch is that one of Lil'Bit's faces can be asleep while the other one is awake. I have also seen him sneeze out of one side and not the other and blink on one side of his face but not the other."
I need lil' bit badly
.

If I can't have Lil' bit, maybe I can have a sugar glider instead. They are the most perfect animal ever. Like a cross between a little hamster and a bat! They even kind of fly like a bat. Plus, they have big eyes and I enjoy things with big eyes.

buy handmade.

I've begun thinking about christmas presents for this year and I had been toying with the idea of trying to make as many presents as possible, but after checking out BUY HANDMADE I definitely want to go that route. I dont think I could possibly make EVERY thing but I like the idea of checking out a few craft fairs next month and there a million things that the lovely ladies in my life would like on etsy.

I've read a lot of comments on different forums of people whining about no one in their families wanting handmade stuff or they feel like the people they are giving the gifts too will think they were just trying to be cheap but I consider myself pretty lucky that most everyone I would want to give a gift to appreciates the time/cost involved with handmade stuff.

I need to start brainstorming, there are a few things i already know for sure that im making!

Waking up to get in line.

I've never, EVER, been one of those people that wake up at 5 am to go to crazy sales at stores the day after thanksgiving. However, this year I might become one of those people. I'm a nerd and just browsed the sales flyer for joanns and they have a 7 foot christmas tree for 30 bucks, which is unheard of, and they have flannel fabric for .99 a yarn which in fabric land that is really really cheap. The sales only from 6am to noon so it looks like Im going to be waiting in line with everyone else! Shoot me.

Dude looks like a lady..

Just in case that video left you wanting just a little bit more.

He should dance with the stars..

Oh Chris, the love of my life. You are so full of poise and grace. Sometimes you're refinement and class are just to much to handle. Sometimes I wish that you could just let loose and just have a good time. I do love you, and appreciate your serious and tasteful nature but I know your inner child is screaming to be let loose! Its ok, you can be silly sometimes and I will still love you. Maybe.

Curly haired smiley faces

Last night I did something I really thought I would never succumb to doing. I bought a big white sheet of poster board and using a big black sharpie I graphed out a calender. My mom used to make these every month, and mine is pretty much identical minus the curly haired smiley faces. I have a lot to do before I leave on vacation and I figured it might help me stay organized.

If I start leaving curly haired smiley face notes in the dishwasher stating their clean/not clean status, or post it notes stuck to my dashboard just shoot me.

Being clever is overrated.

I hate you all. I just spent the last 20 minutes trying to come up with a clever name for this blog and EVERYTHING was taken. Some haven't been updated for years, some were never updated, and one was some little girl's that type LiKe ThiZ! Its pretty inconsiderate to use my clever little name and then make a mockery of the english alphabet.

So, I decided on this. You get cookies if you know the reference.
